Happy Thanksgiving!
Today I am wishing all my North American readers a very Happy Thanksgiving!
You know, I do like this tradition of giving thanks. I often set my clients an exercise that is all about taking some time at the end of each day to note down your achievements of the day alongside the list of things that you need to remember for tomorrow – and then the things that you are most thankful for or grateful for in your life.
In my own life, I have found that taking a little time regularly to acknowledge the things that you have achieved and the things for which you are grateful creates a real sense of abundance.
My grandma used to call it ‘counting your blessings.’
Now, I do not mean giving thanks in a ‘pull your socks up, stiff upper lip, stop complaining’ kind of way.
However, I can thoroughly recommend time spent in thankfulness as a wonderful way to shift your focus to the things that you can celebrate.
Happy Thanksgiving!
