Stopping Smoking
‘I have not touched a cigarette since I saw you, and it feels so good to be free of them. I truly believe that I look better, and feel so much fitter. I have really felt a huge difference in that respect. Thanks so much for what you have done for me.‘
Geraldine Williams, York
‘Stopping smoking with Sophie’s help was so easy compared to all the other ways I’d tried. From the day of the hypnotherapy session, I knew that I no longer wanted to smoke.’
Trevor Holmes, Wakefield
Wedding speech nerves
‘I just wanted to let you know that the wedding was a success! Everything went smoothly and we had a great time. All of the concerns I expressed to you were dispelled on the day. The speech went really well. I thoroughly enjoyed the day without anything we talked about bothering me.
I really do think that the excellent help you gave me played a key role, as it helped me to focus my thoughts on what was important. Thanks again, it’s much appreciated! Even on the days preceding the wedding and on the day itself, I wasn’t at all worried!
I will certainly recommend you to family or friends that may need your help in future.’
Matt Riley, York
Focus, motivation, creativity
‘I am a music producer who sometimes struggled to just ’sit down and do it’ with some aspects of my work. After just one session with Sophie, we managed to get straight to the cause and I could feel the benefits almost instantly. After three sessions, my attitude towards not just my work, but also my time management in general, had completely changed for the better! I have managed to tie up all of the loose ends from previous projects and am swiftly moving on to new and exciting work!’
David Lawrie, York
And lots more…
‘Can self hypnosis be learnt and used to improve confidence, sport performance, exercise adherence and to improve focus and reduce stress? After attending Sophie Nicholls’ ‘Self Hypnosis’ workshop today the answer is a resounding yes…
I will be recommending Sophie’s workshops to all of my personal training clients, therefore I
would suggest that if you want to attend the next workshop that you book your place now.’
Jason Feavers, fitness trainer and coach, York about Sophie’s workshops
‘I had a great day – I enjoyed it from start to finish. Since I
decided to call you, Sophie, I haven’t really looked back! Basically
I’m telling everyone I know how much fun this experience has been… I’m
extremely grateful to have met you and worked with you. By all means
quote me on that!’

‘I can’t thank you enough for your help on my journey so far, I feel confident, relaxed (most of the time!) and above all happy.’
Colin, York
‘I had to write to you to say thank you for all your help and support. For someone who on that first day believed it would never work, it has been one of the best decisions of my life. I won’t say it’s life changing because, as you told me, there is no quick fix or magic you can perform that will take it all away over night. But what you have given me is the tools to use when things seem to be getting on top of me. I still use the self hypnosis nearly every day.
I must also say thank you for all the support that was always there outside our sessions. It was pleasing to find someone who doesn’t just treat you as a client but actually cares. You were always understanding but you also talked straight and to the point, which is what people often need.
I feel it is sad that people like me usually have the wrong idea about hypnosis. I have no doubt that, if they knew the truth, more people would use it as it’s nothing like you see on TV. Please accept my sincere thanks from all my family as they all say I’m a better person.’
David Nevison, York
Ten Years Younger
For their feature ‘Ten Years Younger’ in July 2007, The Yorkshire Evening Press sent a member of their advertising team, Alison Wytchwood, for a trial session of some of Sophie’s techniques, aimed at building confidence, calm and well-being.
Alison said: ‘It was a unique, very personal experience. I am normally a sceptic about these things but it was definitely worth it.’
