'It was a unique, very personal experience. I am normally a sceptic about these things but it was definitely worth it.'
Alison Wytchwood, Yorkshire Evening Press, July 21, 2007
I have spent the last seven years researching techniques and strategies that help people to write their way to greater health, wealth and happiness.
I have taught these techniques to people in business, who feel stressed out, unhappy or that they have lost touch with a vital part of themselves. I have taught them to people who have been through major traumas in their lives, including survivors of political torture; to people living with long-term illness and their relatives; to writers, copy-writers and university students; and, of course, to my private clients.
Now I want to share these techniques with you. Why? Because I know that they work.
I have put together this Hypnotic Journalling for Health and Happiness eCourse so that you can learn how to install these techniques into your daily life - and begin to see the results almost instantly.
And what if I were to tell you that you can learn at your own pace and use these techniques anywhere you like - on the bus, at your desk, before you go to sleep, on holiday, whilst waiting for an appointment?
Well, you can do that too!
When a personal development client comes to see me for a consultation about a particular issue that has been bothering them, the first thing I work on is helping them to 'get out of their heads' (quite literally) and into their bodies. I teach my clients techniques of self-hypnosis so that they can 'let go' of all the unhelpful stuff that has been buzzing around their heads. They learn to stop desperately trying to find 'solutions' to all that stuff, to simply breathe and be for a while and to see where their subconscious mind-body takes them...
In the same way, writing is a kind of self-hypnosis. Let me amend that slightly. Some (but not all) writing is self-hypnosis.
Writing is self-hypnosis when it helps you to 'let go,' breath and see where the uncertainty of just being in the moment can take you. This is a deeply hypnotic experience. Approached like this, writing helps you to discover all kinds of new things about your feelings and your self.
And this is what my Hypnotic Journaling for Health, Wealth and Happiness eCourse is designed to do. First it teaches you how to use writing to 'let go' of all the unhelpful words and images and stories about yourself that you've been carrying around for years. Then it teaches you how to listen for the new words and stories that will emerge from somewhere deep within your body. Of course, then it also teaches you some hypnotic ways of working with those new words and stories.
Listen to the way in which the great British poet, Ted Hughes, described writing. Hughes loved fishing and that's the analogy he used to describe the process of waiting and listening for the right words:
‘You are aware, in a horizonless and slightly mesmerised way, like listening to the double bass in orchestral music, of the fish below there in the dark’ (Winter Pollen, 1967).
Is that hypnotic? I think so. And it turns out that Ted Hughes was fascinated by self-hypnosis techniques and used them all the time in his writing.
This course consists of eight instalments of practical exercises, inspiration, reading suggestions and assignments that you can complete and submit at the pace that is right for you. My only stipulation is that you spread the course over at least eight weeks, because this will give you the time you need to really absorb and process everything that you are learning and experiencing. Some people will prefer to take things much more slowly... and that's good too.
Unlike the several unversity-accredited and business training courses I design and teach, the Hypnotic Journalling for Health and Happiness eCourse does not require you to attend a series of classes or commit to a set schedule. You can work through the course from your own desk - or sofa or bed - and to the timescale that suits you.
When you sign-up to the Hypnotic Journalling for Health and Happiness eCourse, I will contact you by email to agree a date when you would like to begin your eCourse. I will then send you - by email - the introductory instalment of the course along with some practical advice, and a reading list.
When you have completed the exercises and assignment for this first instalment, you will email them directly to me so that I can reply with my comments and feedback and send you the next instalment.
You will keep sending me completed exercises and any comments or questions you have - at a pace that is right for you - and I will then send you my feedback and mentoring advice along with the next course instalment.
At appropriate points throughout the course, as mutually agreed between us, we will have two coaching conversations by telephone.
These will help you to get even more focused on what is happening for you in your journaling practice and what you are discovering about yourself. We will work together to design inspiring goals and practices that fit with your lifestyle; and I will even teach you how to use self-hypnosis and EFT ('tapping') techniques so that you can support and nurture yourself as you work through any issues that come up for you as you write.
As you progress through the course, guided and supported by my personal feedback, I will pick and choose the course content, exercises and assignments according to your developing needs. This course grows as you grow.
When you sign up you will be gaining access to pioneering research and ideas from the emerging field of creative writing and personal development. I have worked with literally hundreds of people over the past few years, so that I have been able to constantly test and refine these powerful techniques.
As a result, I am the first person in the world ever to receive a doctorate in this area (examined last year at the University of Sussex).
I am passionate about these techniques! I know the kind of changes that they have brought about in my own life and in the lives of my private clients. I want to make them available to as many people as possible and that is why I am offering this personalised eCourse for just £200.
