'It was a unique, very personal experience. I am normally a sceptic about these things but it was definitely worth it.'

Sophie Nicholls, DPhil, Dip. Hyp. first began to explore ways of helping people to develop personally and professionally whilst working as a training consultant for Reuters, the international news agency.
She is a Clinical Hypnotherapist, registered with the General Hypnotherapy Register and guided by its Code of Ethics and its high standards of supervision and continuing professional development.
Sophie has a particular interest in the treatment of stress, anxiety, depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), having specialised in working in this area for over five years. She also has particular expertise in working with body-image problems and eating disorders.
Sophie has helped to pioneer research into creative writing as a tool for health and personal development, and her work with the Medical Foundation for the Care of Victims of Torture has been featured in the national media.
She continues to research the area of creative writing as a tool for health, well-being and personal development. Her doctoral thesis in the psychology and neuroscience of creative techniques for health and well-being was examined at the University of Sussex.
Sophie's special approach involves using the latest techniques in hypnosis, EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique) or 'tapping,' NLP and creative personal development and she is constantly seeking out new skills and strategies to share.
She also quite literally walks her talk, taking on new challenges in the areas of personal fitness and creativity as a keen power-walker (competing in marathons) and a published poet.
